Your Body

Your Pace

Why choose Pilates? That's simple to answer. Pilates is the ground work for building up your body. It works on the principles of breath, concentration, control, precision, centre and flow. When you have these within your body you can gain and maintain strength, stability, mobility, balance, co-ordination and flexibility. So whether you are a beginner, in need of rehabilitation or you’re a sporty type of person Pilates is for YOU.

  • Claire has a very considered approach employing her knowledge of muscle & bone structure to gauge weak body areas which require extra care & strengthening. She has a delightful manner & is both empathetic and structured in her teaching methods. I enjoy her classes & feel I have completed a fully rounded exercise routine.

    -Cyrena Tomlin

  • I have just started doing Pilates with Claire in our local village hall.  She is a wonderful coach with a great sense of humour so despite the grunts and groans, which I am sure means the exercises are doing me good, I shall be sticking with this class where I have given up with others over the years.  This is entirely down to Claire and the lovely, fun and friendly way she runs the classes.

    -Ginnie Jones  age 75

  • I've attended Claire's classes for several years now, and being well on the upward side of 75, can honestly say my mobility and flexibility has improved— balance too, though that still needs a lot of work!

Claire manages to understand and adapt exercises to each individual, their ongoing disabilities or current injuries, whilst not forgetting the rest of the class.

While she works us hard, her classes are fun, and I can definitely recommend them.

    -Anthea Skinner

  • Claire shares her energy with us so that we get the most out of exercises. She concentrates on work that is useful for us and takes great care to ensure exercises are introduced gradually to maximise their benefit… Her style is good humoured and understanding which makes the classes enjoyable as well as worthwhile.

The housekeeping (billing etc) is all very efficient so that side is easy. The cancellation arrangements are well understood and very fair.

So overall, I strongly recommend her classes.
